Responsibilities: (Under the direct supervision of a Registered Behaviour Analyst/Board Certified Behavior Analyst -BCBA)
Deliver 1:1 ABA therapy at school
Demonstrate a passion for learning
Follow a prescribed behaviour plan and carefully implement the therapeutic intervention program
Record and graph data
Support with conducting assessments
Prepare program materials
Support with the monitoring of programs and client progress
Write session notes
Participate in parent trainings, professional development and meetings with the clinical team as needed
Communicate and collaborate with parents, school staff, supervisor(s) and other professionals
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year experience working with children, preferably in ABA , educational , or childcare setting
Knowledge of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) strategies to support children/youth with autism and other developmental disabilities
Knowledge of data collection methods and ability to accurately record data
Understanding of ethical principles and best practices related to delivery high quality behavioural treatment
Experience working with children with special needs or developmental delays
Must be able work in French (e.g., communicate with parents and children).
Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and other professionals

Strong organizational skills to manage caseloads and maintain accurate records
Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
Patience, empathy, and compassion when working with children with developmental disabilities
Flexibility to adapt treatment plans based on individual needs and progress
Requirements
The ideal candidate:
Willing to work towards or already has their RBT Certification
Reliable transportation
Enjoys to work with children of all ages and needs
Is passionate about helping others
Has excellent written and oral communication
Has a valid drivers license and access to a vehicle
Willing to travel to if required within the city
Qualifications
Experience with ABA considered an asset!
RBT (not required) -asset
Experience with safety plans and behaviour de-escalation techniques
Current Police Vulnerable Sector Check (within the last 6 months)
First Aid + CPR (not required)
Canadian work authorization
Language: FRENCH, must be able understand and communicate with the child and school personnel.
Hours
Starting in immediately
35 hours/week full-time
Monday to Friday
